Mod Pods cost 10 Credits each and you should open them as soon as you can as you will need the upgrades they contain later on in the game. The contents are random, every Mod Pod will hold either a cosmetic item, performance car part, or a bonus block. Get into the habit of every time you earn 50 Credits you exit out of Campaign mode and select the 'Mod Pod' option in the main menu and buy a few Mod Pods.
